Hima Reddy, Ph.D.
LICENSED CLINICAL PSYCHOLOGIST
Dr. Hima Reddy is a licensed psychologist and learning specialist at The Yellin Center for Mind, Brain, and Education. She combines learning strategies, theories of neurodevelopment, and comprehensive assessment techniques to identify learning profiles that focus on each individual’s unique qualities.
Dr. Reddy received her B.A. at University of Rochester, her M.A. in educational psychology at Teachers College, Columbia University and her Ph.D. in clinical psychology at Fairleigh Dickinson University. She has extensive experience conducting diagnostic, psychoeducational, and neuropsychological evaluations across the lifespan. Prior to joining The Yellin Center, Dr. Reddy completed her clinical externship at Four Winds Hospital, her doctoral internship at NYU Medical Center, and her postdoctoral fellowship in pediatric neuropsychology at Brooklyn Learning Center. She is trained in Preventing Academic Failure (PAF), Parent Management Training (PMT), and Cognitive Behavioral Therapy (CBT). She has provided psychotherapy and cognitive remediation in outpatient and private practice settings to treat anxiety, depression, ADHD, and learning differences. She also has expertise in school and parent consultation and has actively collaborated with teachers, schools, and parents across New York and New Jersey. Dr. Reddy is dedicated to providing individualized, strengths-based interventions. With an appreciation for the complexity and needs of each individual, she aims to foster resilience and positive self-regard as the cornerstones for therapeutic and educational growth. |
