CHADD of New York is proud to present: Learning and Attention: A Pediatrician’s Perspective on ADHD, Attention, and Learning Issues When: January 9, 2012, 5:55 p.m. Where: 65 East 89th Street (Parish Office-St Thomas More) Between Madison and Park, New York, NY (map) Admission: FREE Reservations: Not required Each student diagnosed with ADHD or learning problems has a unique profile of strengths, challenges, and specific needs. Increasingly, neuroscientists and clinical researchers are learning more about the significance of these differences. Parents, students, and educators who understand how to recognize variations in learning are in the best position to implement effective strategies and optimize academic performance. In this presentation, Paul B. Yellin, MD, FAAP will share emerging knowledge in the field, and discuss how to utilize new findings for the diagnosis and care of every student. Target audience: Parents of children and young adults with learning difficulties, such as ADHD, reading difficulties, math difficulties, etc.; Educators from grades Pre-K through College; Young Adults and College/Post-Graduate students with experience managing attention and related difficulties. Paul B. Yellin, MD, FAAP, is the Director of The Yellin Center for Mind, Brain, and Education, a learning assessment, student support, and professional development organization based in New York City. Dr. Yellin is a board-certified pediatrician with more than 25 years of experience in improving the well-being and development of children.
