By deeply understanding how students learn, we can provide strategies and support to improve academic performance, build confidence and develop success in school and in life. Consultation A consultation at The Yellin Center can be a good first-step for parents or older students who are not certain that a complete assessment is necessary but are seeking a new perspective regarding a student's learning. Ongoing Support Continuing support, progress monitoring, case management and other related services. The Yellin Center is available to support your family for the duration of your child's academic career. Transition Services We offer consultations for families who are beginning to consider life beyond high school, to discuss steps they may need to take before they begin this journey, what they may need to do along the way, and how to ensure that each student finds a program to meet his or her needs and obtains the supports necessary for academic and personal success. Advocacy Support Our Director of Advocacy Services works with the families of students we assess, providing information and guidance about rights and procedures under the Individuals with Disabilities Education Act (IDEA) and Section 504 (of the Rehabilitation Act of 1973). Professional Development The Yellin Center provides professional development for individuals in a variety of diverse fields, including education, medicine, psychology, human resources and more.
