When to Seek Help

How do you know if it's time to seek help for difficulty in school? Every child is different, but if you are having concerns, we strongly recommend speaking with a qualified professional. If several of the symptoms described below speak to your child's experience, it may be worth a call to discuss your concerns with our intake team.

Picture

Stomach aches, headaches or other like symptoms occur consistently on Sunday nights/Monday mornings

Stressed, anxious generally

Homework takes longer than expected

Not reading for pleasure

Not joyful about learning or new experiences, generally

Signs of diminished self-esteem

Low motivation

Grades not reflecting effort or knowledge

Speaks well, writes poorly

Knew it last week, no longer knows it

Seems to do OK in school, but falls apart as soon at home
